Fran Green, Founder & Managing Director

Fran Green is fondly known as the ‘travel agent to the stars.’

Her passion for travel and love of music inspired her to start Music Travel with a business partner in 1992. The company provided specialist travel management services exclusively for the music industry but grew to become more diverse fulfilling the travel needs of the wider entertainment industry. The company was re-branded as Media Travel in 2004 to reflect its broadening client-base of bands, artists and celebrities in the fields of music, sport and entertainment.

Fran is inspired by the diversity and variety that travel management for the entertainment industry has to offer and she describes her career as a lifestyle rather than a job. She works closely with our small team of travel specialists and encourages them to get involved in all aspects of the business; such as building relationships with clients and partners, travelling and exploring the world and engaging in all aspects of the entertainment industry.

The Media Travel team looks after travel for long-term clients including the Manic Street Preachers, The Pixies and The Strokes. Fran has a solid reputation within the industry and has built strong and lengthy relationships with her clients. This is unusual in the travel and entertainment industries and contributed to us winning the 2004 Total Production International (TPI) Award for Favourite Travel Agency.

Fran started her career at Instone Travel in 1989 which specialised in corporate business travel. Her first dabble with music industry travel came when looking after CBS Records. The account meant organising travel and accommodation for high-profile acts such as Michael Jackson and Luther Vandros. After 12 years of managing Media Travel as a partnership Fran became the sole owner in 2004. Media Travel is now coming of age as the business turns 18 in 2010. 

Fran is extremely proud of her successes with Media Travel over the past 18 years. With the business growing in size and strength and a trusted team under her Fran can now allow herself a couple of days off every once in a while. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, who is Media Travel’s Finance Director. The couple like to escape from the hustle and bustle of London to enjoy some leisure time at their apartment in Marbella which has prompted Fran to learn Spanish. When she is not travelling for work or pleasure Fran enjoys spending time at home with her Burmese Blue cat, Kiana, and learning to play the piano.
