No rest for musicians this summer
We love summer! It’s festival season, and although that means some interesting challenges for us, we really enjoy doing our bit to bring the UK’s finest to a stage near you.
Media Travel clients The Strokes have just finished their European tour, but there’s no rest for the wicked – they’re off Down Under at the end of July, before heading Stateside in August. As well as Julian’s solo set at Glastonbury, the band played the Isle of Wight Festival and Rockness Festival in Scotland before heading for Germany and Switzerland.
Billy Idol is still heating up European crowds. Even though, the 80's rocker’s 2010 summer gigs have almost finished, there are still couple of dates to play in Germany, Switzerland and Holland.
Prodigy have been hard at it on the tour circuit since early June, and will be maintaining top speed throughout the summer, playing pretty much everywhere from Ibiza to Milton Keynes.
Orbital have also had a busy year, recently playing Glastonbury, the Isle of Wight and Guilfest. The end of August signals the start of a well earned break for the reformed duo, who got together again in 2009 after five years apart.
The Pixies head off for a whistlestop tour of the Southern Hemisphere at the end of July – playing Australia, New Zealand and Japan in quick succession before heading back to the US for a monster month of touring in September.
