Media Travel does Glastonbury

It’s been a busy Glastonbury for some of our clients, and we've seen some amazing sets from people who we don't work with (yet!), but wanted to talk about anyway!
Orbital headlined “The Other Stage” with a guest appearance by the new Doctor Matt Smith, who introduced their special closing number – a dance version of the Doctor Who theme.
Strokes front man Julian Casablancas took to the John Peel stage ahead of headliners Ash, amidst rumours that the band were due to play a surprise set. The rumours were just that, but the lack of his regular stage mates didn’t appear to put Julian off his Stroke!
Sunday night saw a storming set from Groove Armada. The “most twittered” band of the festival headlined the John Peel stage with their blend of house, electro and pop. Much bouncing ensued..
Not a Media Travel client, but as avid muso’s, we can’t NOT mention this. Glastonbury was rocked to its very core by a very special collaboration. Legendary space rock trio  Muse were joined by U2’s The Edge - closing  their set with a version of “When the streets had no name” which turned into a mass singalong.
No Glastonbury talk would be complete without mention of the legendary Stevie Wonder, who closed the festival with a set packed to capacity with some of his greatest hits. From the moment he wandered on stage with a keytar in his hands, his audience were enthralled – the perfect end to a fantastic weekend.
