Do not disturb: Rockstars at work!
Who says being a successful musician is all booze, sex and the other thing? As 2011 comes to a close, we salute the colossal work ethic of Mediatravel’s clients. Whitesnake recently completed their epic world tour, and can now look forward to putting their feet up for a well deserved break over the Xmas period. The same can be said of Sade - she’ll be looking to round off her world tour in style later this week in Abu Dhabi, completing what’s been an excellent 2011. Both have certainly shown the young whippersnappers of the industry a thing or two about stamina and drive, whilst of course having some fun on the way.
Of the aforementioned whippersnappers, we should also say a big well done to Foster the People, Bruno Mars, and Bon Iver, who have all been nominated for Grammys. Similarly, The Strokes and The Horrors can reflect with pride that they top the NME Album of the Year chart, voted for by fans. The Horrors will be looking forward with excitement to their spot supporting Florence and the Machine on their 2012 tour, and in other news, Manic Street Preachers rocked their eagerly anticipated one off show at the o2 alongside special guests later this week, and The Naked and Famous currently have a busy schedule underway in the US, where The Script have recently been playing. We couldn’t possibly forget the funnymen of Mediatravel either – Al Murray will soon be finishing his jam-packed 2011 tour, and Chris Addison will be touring until Spring next year.
Last but by no means least, Mediatravel was also very proud to support the recent Justice Tonight tour in honour of the Hillsborough Justice campaign, which sought to promote justice for the Hillsborough 96, and featured Mick Jones playing Clash songs on tour for the first time since 1982.
